Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated

AI employees write to clients, handle conversations and join meetings on behalf of your company. These rules protect your clients, your reputation and the deliverability of your email. They are part of the agreement for Opero.

Contents

1. Honest AI

  • An AI employee never pretends to be a person. When asked directly, it says it is an AI. Do not set it up otherwise.
  • When an AI employee joins a meeting or a call, participants must know they are talking to an AI and that the meeting is recorded. Where the law requires consent to recording, get it in advance.
  • Do not use a real person's photo, voice or name for an AI employee without their written consent. Do not present an AI employee as a specific person or another company.

2. First emails and follow-ups

When an AI employee looks for clients and writes first:

  • Write to companies and people who may find your offer useful in their work. Every email is personal and relevant; no mass identical mailings.
  • Use work addresses from public sources or addresses people gave you themselves. Do not buy or upload address lists you have no lawful basis to use.
  • Each email shows who is writing and from which company, and offers an easy way to opt out. Opero adds the unsubscribe link itself.
  • Opt-outs take effect immediately: Opero stops writing to anyone who unsubscribes or asks not to be contacted, and to addresses that bounce. Do not work around this with other addresses.
  • Do not get around sending limits or address warm-up: they protect your company's email deliverability.
  • Subject lines and content must not mislead: do not fake an earlier conversation, and do not promise what you cannot deliver.

3. Marketing and data protection laws

  • EU and UK: the GDPR and electronic marketing rules apply. In some countries, Germany for example, even cold emails to businesses need prior consent.
  • United States: emails must comply with the CAN-SPAM Act: a real sender, an honest subject line, your company's postal address and a working opt-out.
  • Russia: advertising by email, messenger or phone needs the recipient's prior consent under the Federal Law on Advertising, and recipients' data is protected by Federal Law No. 152-FZ.

Your company is responsible for following the laws of the recipient's country. If in doubt, ask a lawyer before you start outreach.

4. Messengers and platforms

  • In Telegram, WhatsApp and Avito, an AI employee replies only to people who wrote to you first or agreed to hear from you. Cold messaging in messengers is not allowed.
  • Follow each platform's rules: Telegram, WhatsApp, Avito, Wildberries, Ozon, Yandex Direct and VK may restrict or block your account if you break them.
  • In your personal Telegram (Telegram Business), the AI replies in your name: you see every conversation and you are responsible for it.

5. What is not allowed

  • illegal goods and services: drugs, weapons, counterfeits, unlicensed gambling, pyramid schemes;
  • deception and fraud: phishing, fake invoices and documents, tricking people out of money or data, posing as a bank, a government body or another company;
  • threats, harassment, discrimination, incitement to violence, extremist material;
  • sexual material involving minors: strictly forbidden, and we report such cases to law enforcement;
  • violating other people's rights: copyright, trademarks, privacy;
  • collecting or sharing personal data without a lawful basis, or tracking people;
  • malware and malicious links;
  • medical, legal or financial promises that present an AI answer as a guaranteed result;
  • political campaigning through AI employees.

6. Keeping Opero safe

  • do not try to access other companies or their data, or to hack or overload Opero;
  • do not get around limits, billing or access checks, and do not create extra companies to get another free trial;
  • do not scrape Opero with bots or resell access without an agreement with us;
  • do not upload special categories of data (such as health data) or payment card data: Opero is not designed to store them.

7. What we do about violations

We usually warn you first and ask you to fix the problem. After that, we may:

  • stop an outreach campaign or a follow-up sequence;
  • pause an AI employee;
  • limit sending from your company's addresses;
  • suspend or close the account for a serious or repeated violation.

We stop spam, fraud and illegal content immediately, without warning. Where the law requires it, we share information with public authorities.

8. How to report abuse

If an AI employee using Opero sent you spam or broke these rules, forward the message to info@yakdu-group.ru with the subject line Abuse. We will look into it and reply. To stop receiving emails, use the unsubscribe link in the message.
