Autonomy, approvals and the log

You decide what an AI employee does on its own and what needs your approval. Every action is recorded in the log, and your rejections and edits become rules the employee follows from then on.

The Opero interface is switching to English right now, screen by screen. Some buttons and labels may still be in Russian: this guide uses their English names.

Three work modes

  • Observes

    What the employee does:
Reads and collects information, does nothing on its own
  • Suggests

    What the employee does:
Prepares replies and actions, you approve them in one click. Recommended to start
  • Works on its own

    What the employee does:
Acts on its own within the limits and hands sensitive questions to you

You choose the mode when hiring and can change it at any time: open the employee’s profile and pick a mode in the work mode row.

What an AI employee never does without you

Even in Works on its own mode, these limits always apply:

  • Money, payment, discounts, refunds, contracts, courts, claims and personal data: the employee doesn’t send such a reply but hands it to you.
  • Amounts and percentages that are not in the company profile, the instructions or the Knowledge Base: that email also goes to you for a decision.
  • Replies and task emails: no more than 30 a day per employee. Beyond that they become drafts waiting for approval. For emails to leads you set a separate limit in lead follow-ups.
  • A new Opero email address builds trust gradually, so it sends fewer emails in its first days. Details: the AI employee’s mailbox.
  • Outside working hours the employee only collects email.
  • An AI employee cannot pay for anything: bank access in Opero is read-only.

Where to approve

  • Today, the Decide now block.
  • AI Staff, the block of decisions waiting for you. The number of pending decisions also shows next to AI Staff in the menu.
  • The employee’s profile, the Log tab, filtered to items waiting for approval.
  • Telegram: the bot sends the suggestion with Approve and Reject buttons. How to link it: Opero in Telegram.
  1. Open the suggestion. For an email you see the recipient, subject and text. Why shows what the employee based it on.
  2. If needed, click Edit text and correct the email.
  3. Click Approve (after edits the button says Approve with edits) or Reject.

Decisions are made by the owner, an admin or this employee’s manager.

The action log

Everything your AI staff does is recorded with the time and the outcome: emails, suggestions, tasks, documents, lead searches.

  • The full log: Settings, AI Staff Log. You can search events.
  • One employee’s log: the Log tab in their profile, with filters for all items, items waiting for approval, completed actions and errors.

How your AI staff learns from your corrections

A rejection or an edit is not lost. The employee analyzes each decision and turns it into a rule, for example “I don’t mention prices in the first email”. If the reason is unclear, it asks you a question with answer options.

  • The Style tab in the profile: rules learned from your edits, with before and after examples. You can change or delete any rule and add your own.
  • Learning in the Team section: how many rules have been learned, which questions are waiting for your answer, and team knowledge. Confirmed knowledge goes into the Knowledge Base, and the whole staff uses it.
  • If you reject the same kind of work five times in a row, the employee pauses that work and waits for your answer.
  • If you approve a kind of work fifteen times in a row without edits, the employee offers to do it on its own.
  • On Mondays the employees sum up the week: what they learned. The owner gets the summary in Telegram.
