Finding clients and emailing leads
Opero looks for companies that fit your offer, checks them in public registries and adds them to Leads. Then an AI sales manager writes to them first and follows up until the client replies.
Updated
The Opero interface is switching to English right now, screen by screen. Some buttons and labels may still be in Russian: this guide uses their English names.
Contents
Start with your client profile
The AI searches by your profile: Settings, the lead search profile block.
- Who to look for, the client’s industry: the main field, for example “dental clinics”. The more precise it is, the better the results.
- Search region, client size and keywords: optional.
If you launched your company with the wizard, some of these fields are already filled in.
Find leads now
- Open Clients, Leads. In some industries this screen has a different name, for example bookings, students or deals.
- Click the find leads button.
- Choose a source: companies in your niche (web search and registry checks by your profile), people looking to buy a franchise in your niche, or signals such as tenders and hiring (who is buying or growing right now).
- Wait for the result: Opero shows how many companies it found and how many new leads it added.
A lead card shows registry data when available: director, address, registration number, activity code and revenue. Registry checks (FNS and EGRUL) cover companies registered in Russia.
Companies in Kazakhstan are checked by BIN (IIN for sole proprietors) in the Kazakhstan business registry: the card shows the director, address, status, activity (OKED) and company size. If the Search region is Kazakhstan or a Kazakh city such as Almaty, Astana or Shymkent, leads are searched among companies in Kazakhstan; a company from Kazakhstan without a region searches all of Kazakhstan.
Auto search on a schedule
The auto search button in Leads opens its settings: turn it on, choose how often (every day, every 3 days or once a week) and the number of leads per run. The same settings are in Settings, the auto search block.
Lead form for your website
Another way to get leads is a form on your website. Open Integrations, the website lead form block, choose who answers the requests and copy the code for your site. Each request goes straight to Leads, and an AI employee replies to the client within a minute.
Lead follow-ups: an email sequence
The follow-ups panel is at the top of Leads. The AI studies each lead and writes a short personal email, then follow-up emails.
- Turn follow-ups on.
- Choose the AI employee who writes. If you don’t have a sales employee yet, Opero offers to hire one.
- Set the maximum emails per day: from 1 to 200.
- Choose the touches: gentle (right away, on day 4 and day 10), normal (right away, on day 3 and day 7), intensive (right away, on days 2, 4 and 7) or your own days. A sequence has at most 6 emails.
- Add a booking link: the AI offers the client to pick a meeting time through it.
- Keep “only leads with email” on, so the AI doesn’t waste touches. Save.
If a client replies, the sequence stops and the reply waits for you. The progress block shows who the AI wrote to, who replied and who booked a meeting. The run now button takes new leads immediately instead of waiting for the schedule.
Safe-sending rules
To make sure emails arrive and don’t annoy people, Opero follows these rules itself:
- Warm-up: a new Opero address sends up to 5 external emails on its first day, then 3 more each day, up to 40 a day.
- The daily follow-up limit you set is never exceeded.
- At most 6 emails to one person in a sequence, and a client’s reply stops the sequence.
- Unsubscribe: emails to people who haven’t replied carry an unsubscribe header, and a reply saying “unsubscribe” or “stop” unsubscribes at once. The AI never writes again to people who unsubscribed or to addresses that bounce.
- Plain-text emails, without all-caps lines or rows of exclamation marks.
Your part: write only to people who may really benefit from your offer, and keep your client profile precise. What is not allowed when sending through Opero is described in the acceptable use policy.
