Connecting channels: Telegram, WhatsApp, Avito and email
Messaging channels are connected in the Clients section, Inbox. A client writes, an AI employee replies on behalf of your company, and all conversations come together in the Inbox list. Channels can be connected by the company owner or an admin.

The Opero interface is switching to English right now, screen by screen. Some buttons and labels may still be in Russian: this guide uses their English names.

Who replies in a channel, and how
Each connected channel has an assigned AI employee and a reply mode:
Replies on its own
- What happens:
- The employee answers clients on its own and hands difficult questions to you
Suggests
- What happens:
- The employee prepares a reply and you approve it in one click on Today or in Telegram
Off
- What happens:
- The employee doesn’t reply, messages simply arrive in Inbox
A connected channel’s card shows how many seconds the employee takes to reply on average and how many replies and conversations there were in the last 7 days.
Your company’s Telegram bot
Clients write to your company’s bot, and an AI employee replies. You create the bot yourself in Telegram in a couple of minutes.
- Open @BotFather in Telegram.
- Send /newbot and choose a name and a username for the bot. The username must end in bot.
- Copy the token from BotFather’s reply. It looks like 1234567890:AAH followed by a long key.
- In Opero, open Inbox, the Telegram bot card, and paste the token into the bot token field.
- Choose which AI employee replies and click to connect the bot.
Your personal Telegram (Telegram Business)
The AI replies to new people in your personal Telegram chats on your behalf, and you see the whole conversation. This requires Telegram Premium, which includes Telegram Business.
- In Inbox, find the personal Telegram card and link your Telegram to your Opero account with the button in the card. This doesn’t change how you sign in to Opero.
- In Telegram, open Settings, Telegram Business, Chatbots and add @bonoor_bot.
- Give the bot permission to reply to messages and choose “except contacts”, so it only replies to new people.
- Back in Opero, choose how to reply: Draft (you confirm each reply), Auto (the AI leads the client and calls you when a decision is needed) or Off.
In the card’s settings you can have disputed questions handed to you, send gentle reminders to clients who went quiet (after a day, 3 days and a week) and book meetings. You can also upload a price list in any format, add photos of products and services, a payment link and the text the AI uses to introduce itself.
WhatsApp via Wazzup
WhatsApp, as well as MAX, Telegram and Avito, can be connected through the Wazzup gateway: they all appear in Inbox in one window.
- In your Wazzup account, open the CRM integration section, then API, and copy the API key.
- In Opero, in Inbox, find the block for WhatsApp and other messengers via Wazzup, paste the key and click Connect.
- In your Wazzup account, add WhatsApp by scanning the QR code with the phone that has WhatsApp. The number appears in Opero on its own.
- In the block that assigns who replies in each channel, pick an AI employee and a mode: Auto (replies on its own), Draft (the reply waits for your confirmation) or Off.
Avito
An AI employee answers buyers in your Avito listing chats.
- Open the API section of your Avito Pro account.
- Copy the Client ID and Client Secret.
- In Opero, open Inbox, the Avito card, and paste both keys.
- Choose who replies and click to connect Avito.
The AI answers the buyer’s very first message. If Avito doesn’t accept the keys, copy them from your account again in full.
Email conversations are handled by the AI employee from their own address. The emails live in the Email tab of their profile, and drafts for approval arrive in the same place as your other decisions. How to give an address or connect your own mailbox: the AI employee’s mailbox.
Voice messages, photos and languages
Connected channel cards (Telegram bot, Avito, WhatsApp) have a voice, photo and language block:
- Voice replies: to voice messages only (a voice message gets a voice reply, text gets text), always, or text only.
- Text copy: the same reply in text under the voice message.
- Reply in the client’s language: Tajik, Uzbek, Kazakh, English and others. In the conversation view Opero shows a translation of the client’s messages; for now it translates into Russian.
- Understand photos: the AI reads a client’s photo and replies based on your price list.
Some channels accept only text from businesses: voice replies are not available there.
